I was put in contact with Glen by the Case Manager at my Mom’s rehab. I had already just started the process of looking for an assisted living facility for my Mom who had broken her leg this past May and had exhausted her Rehab benefits. I was feeling very overwhelmed! Glen returned my call immediately and was kind, knowledgeable and reassuring. He gave very helpful advice relevant to my situation. Assisted Living Locators of NH is amazing. Kristy and Glen are compassionate, professional, and a wealth of knowledge in the complicated space of Elder Care. They have helped advise our family on a number of occasions, even during times/situations where there was no personal gain to be had for them. Kristy was so helpful in finding my Dad a place to go that would fit his needs. She was always quick, within minutes,to answer my questions. When we were faced with a need to find an assisted living facility for my sister-in-law FAST, right on the tail of COVID, serendipitously we received a follow-up telephone call from Glen and Kristy of Assisted Living Locators. (They had been referred to us more than a year earlier after my SIL was discharged from the hospital, but she was not leaving her home at that point.) When I said "Yes, please help" they jumped into action, securing appointments and tours, all the while educating us that SIL's financial status would carry her further than we thought possible. Within a matter of weeks, with their expert guidance and local contacts, we had SIL comfortably situated in a great assisted living facility. In less than a year, SIL's condition deteriorated to the point she had to be moved into the outstanding memory care unit of the same facility, one of the considerations Glen and Kristy educated us about in the initial search. They also were instrumental in our being able to navigate the murky waters of getting VA benefits to supplement SIL's income thereby extending the time she would continue to be eligible for this non-Medicaid facility. Glen and Kristy were a pleasure to work with. I didn't even know this service was available, and had done quite a lot of research prior to speaking with them. They helped to reassure me that I was on the right path in finding a place for my mom. They took the time to hear my concerns, and our personal situation. They offered to speak with other family members as well, either in conference or alone. They explained the ins and outs of the different types of facilities available, information on staffing, services, state regulations. Every facility I visited knew of Glen and Kristy and they were held in the highest regard by the facility. This process is difficult and overwhelming. Having professionals in your corner makes it world's easier. They don't just leave you in the dust when you find a placement for your family member, there is always an open door to contact them if concerns or needs arise in the future. I urge anyone in my position to contact this organization. They will respond to your inquiry in a timely manner, be flexible to work with your timetables, respect you and support you.
